Vegas Gallery

18 May - 30 May
This is the first in a series of exhibitions wherein the gallery invites two artists to exhibit a selection of new work alongside each other. The purpose is not to seek to unify two distinct and different practices, but rather to open up a dialogue between the artists, and invite the visitor to compare and contrast the work of two contemporary artists, and provoke discussion and debate.
The exhibition looks at two contemporary painters: Geraldine Gliubislavich, a VEGAS-represented artist based in Brussels, and Hrvoje Majer, a Croatian artist living and working in London, and examines their different approaches to painting.

Vegas Gallery started out in 2007 as a project space run by artists and supported by Minivegas, a digital production company, its ethos being to give young and often international artists the opportunity to show their work in London. Now a commercial enterprise, it stays true to its roots in seeking to show experimental and unusual work by emerging and established talent from both the UK and abroad.

Gourmet San
261 Bethnal Green Road E2 6AHGourmet San is most easily identified by the throng of expectant diners queuing outside. So what's the big draw? Part of the answer can be had looking through the window - succulent chilli crab and sizzling fish whizzing between kitchen and happy diners; the rest of it, in the form of friendly and efficient service, comes once you get through the door. Gourmet San's predominantly Chinese clientele are keen on the authentic Szechuan menu, and we suggest you follow their lead.
