The Women's Library
-
03 May - 25 August
Most women have always worked, in paid jobs or in the home, but their work has consistently been unrecognised and undervalued. The exhibition highlights campaigns for equal pay and fair working conditions led by pioneering activists and supported by trade unions. It features tales of women who strived to make working lives fairer and more pleasant for themselves, their colleagues and those who followed in their wake. The exhibition includes unseen documents, images, films and artefacts from the Women’s Library, Trades Union Congress Library Collections and other specialist collections.
