• The Quarry 02 May - 02 June

  In 2011 Charles Danby and Rob Smith entered an archive in search of the site of an artwork. In 2012 they travelled to York, Yorkshire, England and they entered the quarry:

  “We like you have travelled to York, to Yorkshire, to England. We like you have turned and returned. We like you make believe. We like you have seen chalk, have seen ourselves through the mirror, and have become a displacement within a cut landscape. We like you see the quarry, and we like you are quarry.”

  
• SECTORINFINITY BALANCE 06 June - 06 June

  Filmarmalade are proud to present the performative video installation SECTOR INFINITY BALANCE by artist James Lowne that combines new video and experimental audio work with office furniture.

  SECTOR INFINITY BALANCE comprises a triad of narratives that explore the concepts of production, reception and mediation to explore Lowne’s theories of the ‘Ambient Totality’ set within an interior world populated by incompletely drawn bodies, that ambiguously populate a series of ersatz landscapes.

  James Lowne recently screened work at the Ann Arbor film festival, Michigan, Tate Modern, London, the British Film Institute, London, Wimbledon College of Art, London and the BHVU Gallery, London. He was born in the United Kingdom and lives and works in London.

  IMT is a contemporary art gallery that works with artists to present exhibitions developed specifically for the gallery.  The programme has a heavy emphasis towards installation, and annual exhibitions of sound art.  IMT also hosts film screenings in association with Filmarmalade.
