20 Hoxton Square Projects
-
Launched in 2007 by Alexander Dellal, 20 Hoxton Square Projects is a collaborative project space that forgoes the commercial gallery format to showcase emerging contemporary artists and act as a creative hub for independent projects.
Since its inception the gallery has gained a reputation as a dynamic space, producing collaborative projects with established artists, galleries and guest curators, and nurturing its own stable of artists in a progressive artistic environment. 20 Hoxton Square Projects recently launched a bi-monthly newspaper in July 2009.20 Hoxton Square, London, N1 6NT

Les Trois Garcons
Les Trois Garcons is situated in a converted Victorian pub from 1880 in Shoreditch. Hassan, Michel and Stefan acquired the building in 1996 as their home, coming from Malaysia, France and Sweden they find living in a Victorian pub the epitome of Englishness. In 2000 the garcons decided to open the ground floor as a restaurant with the kitchen, chef’s table (a room for up to 10 persons with a one way window overlooking the kitchen) and the wine cellar in the basement. They continue to live on the other 2 floors above. Plans are underway to convert the first floor living room into a bar and reception area for the diners of Les Trois Garcons

It's a hive of perpetual activity from morning till night: breakfast is a big draw, especially at weekends, when porridge, kedgeree & bloody Marys give way gradually to devilled kidneys, shepherd's pie or sausage & mash. The pavement tables are among the nicest in town; indoors, sharing tables is a given & the semi-open kitchen adds to the utilitarian theme. No bookings, so be prepared to queue.
