“For a human, being alive is a mixture of episodes and encounters, not all under control. Occasionally we see our own shadow or reflection and we realise we are part of other people’s encounters. Sven Sachsalber’s work is all about this, like catching himself unawares and taking the risk of looking stupid or noble, or both. For a man from the mountains it is not surprising that there is lots of gravity in what he does, that feeling, that any moment we might fall down.
We try to be vertical, and we would like to choose when we want to be horizontal. It isn’t always like that.“

Gallery S O London’s main focus is the contemporary object - aiming to stimulate the public's perception of, and curiosity about, contemporary art objects and jewellery, and to provide an insight into how the creative input is influenced and shaped by applied concepts and processes. The gallery is divided into two spaces, with the front showroom displaying works by international artists and makers, and the bigger gallery to the rear showing temporary projects and exhibitions in the field of Art and Design.
