Leila's on Arnold Circus is a legendary coffee spot where they serve Monmouth coffee in an eccentric cafe setting that feels like you're in your own kitchen. Close to Brick Lane in the East End, Arnold Circus is a public garden with its own bandstand which offers a quiet refuge among the concrete blocks. The cafe's owner and founder Leila McAlister may be visiting the markets one day and giving a talk at the ICA on the environmental impact of the food production process the next. And it's this kind of thinking that makes this place such a popular spot - Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung are among Leila's celebrity fans. Taking the number of food miles your salad has travelled into consideration goes a long way.
