In Use is the first solo show by Swedish artist Anna Moderato. Departing from Yvonne Rainer’s 1960s seminal dance pieces featuring minimal gestures and movements, Moderato’s recent work investigates the limitations of the human body through repetitious action. Over the course of four days the exhibition presents new sculptures conceived as elements for non-professional performers to interact with. The exhibition also includes an event programme featuring live performances and screenings, which extend the themes of the show.
An evening of performances including a new work by Lucy Clout and Mary Hurrell.

Acme Studios is a London-based charity, formed by artists in 1972, which supports the development of fine art practice by providing artists with affordable studio space. Acme provides 425 studio units, runs work/live and studio residency schemes and manages an international residencies programme for visiting artists. The Acme Project Space supports a range of activities including our expanding Residency, Awards & Community Programme and our major International Residencies Programme with exhibitions, presentations, seminars and events. Please note, the Acme Project Space is not an exhibition space with a curated programme, so we are not in a position to accept exhibition proposals.
