Shoebox Awards 2010 - Photography

Private View and Award Presentation - August 4, 6pm

Oblong presents the finalists of the 2010 Shoebox Awards. From recent graduates to established artists the work forms a diverse approach to the Photographic medium and incorporates a wide range of subject matter. Themes range from the social and political landscape; to the personal, of lost moments and revealing histories; to challenging and reforming the nature of the medium both sculpturally and digitally. The use of metaphor, collage, abstraction, narrative and of the sublime combines to form an eclectic and engaging show.

Join us for the opening night of the 2010 Shoebox Awards. We will be announcing the winners of this years competition at 7pm with an evening of Photography and drinks.
