About the venue

The Women's Library is a cultural centre, housing the most extensive collection of material in the UK on women's history. The Library has a vibrant programme of temporary exhibitions, events and education programmes. The Library holds a fascinating archive with a range of items from personal archives to printed material that can be accessed through the reading room. Some of the treasures in the Library include Victorian bloomers, a first edition of Mary Wollestonecraft’s Vindication of the Rights of Women, the original suffragette banners and the entire collection of Spare Rib. Access is free and the Library is open to everyone.
