Simon Oldfield is pleased to present Ben Ashton’s first solo show in an exciting pop-up space.

Since graduating from the Slade with an MFA in 2008, Ashton has made paintings and sculptures that explore the dual themes of narcissism and performance.

In this exhibition, Ashton has re-visited historical celebrities, twisting their identity until their original image has become obscured. It is an approach tinged with playfulness and shoots an arrow through our preconceptions.
