About the venue

The Outside World is an artist-run studio/gallery founded in 1996 by C.A. Halpin. It began as a venue to promote the work of Outsider Artists. In its first guise it became a meeting point for the thriving Shoreditch art scene that spawned many of today's well-established artists. The Outside World went on to broaden its scope to show the work of a variety of new and emerging artists. The shows range from painting to sculpture, film, photography and live events When not used as a gallery space The Outside World is a vibrant painting and drawing studio for C.A. Halpin.
