THEREZA ROWE -

The exhibit compiles a series of drawings inspired by a 70’s track, by the Brazilian cult band Os Mutantes, entitled El Justiciero (The Lawful). The pieces on show are colourful whilst minimalist and reflect the whimsical childlike trademark style of the London based illustrator.
The story, which depicts the legend of a Spanish hero known to ‘execute justice’ to help the village people and his love for Juanita Banana, is unfolded through illustrations using a wide variety of materials and approaches such as paper, canvases and hand lettering typography.
